John Laschinger currently serves as the SVP for corporate Development ant Edwards Lifesciences. He formerly served as the senior medical officer for Structural Heart and Temporary MCS devices at CDRH-FDA . He completed his medical education at The Ohio State University, his residency in General Surgery at New York University, and fellowships in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Washington University, and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. His carreer in the academic and private practice of cardiac surgery spans 20 years including service as an Assistant Professor in Cardiothoracic Surgery at University of Maryland, as an Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Universiity, and as leader of a large CT surgery practice in Maryland
