Dr. Rizik is the Banner Health System Chief of CV Service Line & Physician Executive Community Cardiovascular Research.He has been active in clinical research, physician leadership & teaching throughout his career.Dr Rizik completed medical school at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, followed by his residency at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Hospital.He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease & interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Rizik is board certified in cardiovascular disease & interventional cardiology. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journals and is a designated Interventionalist Master of the SCAI. He is the associate editor on the editorial board of the JSCAI. Dr. Rizik has been a driving force behind radiation protection in the catheterization lab and is co-producer of the Emmy-award winning series, Scattered Denial.
