Dr. Gary Roubin is an internationally renowned interventional cardiologist recognized for his groundbreaking work in the development of the first FDA-approved coronary stent, as well as in pioneering the techniques of carotid stenting, embolic protection devices and large bore femoral closure techniques.
Dr. Roubin has published more than 300 papers in peer reviewed journals. He has edited three textbooks on interventional cardiovascular medicine, coronary, and carotid artery stenting as well as contributing to 20 textbooks on interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. His first book “The First Balloon Expandable Coronary Stent: An Expedition that Changed Cardiovascular Medicine” (Univ. Q Press) is available on amazon.com.
