Dr. Mitchell Krucoff is an interventional cardiologist, Professor of Medicine/Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center and Director of the Cardiovascular Devices Unit at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI). He is a special government employee of the United States FDA, receiving a Distinguished Service Award in 2007, and is the Co-Director of the Japan-USA Harmonization By Doing (HBD) program. He directs both the Critical Path Cardiac Safety Research Consortium (CSRC) PPP and the MDEpiNet PPP PASSION programs. He has published more than 400 peer review papers in addition to numerous books and book chapters. He is a writing member of the National Evaluation System for health Technologies (NEST) Methodologies committee. Dr. Krucoff currently serves as the Co-Chair of the American Heart Association National Cardiogenic Shock Registry.
