Dr. Thomas MacGillivray is the Physician Executive Director and Chair of Cardiac Surgery at MedStar Health and MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Vice President Medical Operations of the MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute. He is a cardiac surgeon with over 25 years experience with the surgical management of patients with complex acquired heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, thoracic aortic disease and end stage cardiopulmonary failure. Dr. MacGillivray was the 59th President of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
