Jason Fontana, PhD, is a leader in cardiovascular medical technology and serves as General Manager of Renal Denervation at Medtronic. With a scientific foundation in pharmacology and experience across clinical, scientific, and commercial functions, he has focused his career on advancing therapies that improve outcomes for patients with cardiovascular disease and hypertension. Dr. Fontana earned his B.S. in Biology from Siena College and his PhD in Pharmacology from Yale University. At Medtronic, he has held several senior leadership roles, including Director of Scientific and Clinical Communications and Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Coronary and Renal Denervation. His work has focused on advancing hypertension diagnosis and treatment, particularly device-based therapies, as well as coronary physiology and data-driven care in the cath lab.
