Vijay Iyer MD, PhD is the Director of Structural heart interventions at the Gates Vascular Institute/ Buffalo General Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine/Cardiology and the Chief of Cardiology at the Jacobs School of Medicine, University at Buffalo. He is the local PI ffor over 75 trials in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. His clinical expertise includes coronary interventions, robotic PCI, TAVR, m-TEER, TTVR,t-TEER LAAO, ASD/VSD closures and alcohol septal ablation. He is also the Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and the Structural Heart fellowship at the University at Buffalo. He currently serves as the CV Service line director for Kaleida Health. He is also the current Upstate Governor for the NYS ACC Chapter.
