Aaron Lottes, PhD, MBA, is Assistant Dean for Engineering in Indianapolis and Professor of Engineering Practice at Purdue University. He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at IU School of Medicine. Dr. Lottes has 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and currently teaches courses on the development, testing, and regulatory approval of medical devices to help improve the translational process of bringing new discoveries and new medical products from research to clinical use and ultimately through regulatory approval and commercial availability for the benefit of patients. Dr. Lottes has extensive experience developing devices for the treatment of Peripheral Arterial Disease, and is actively involved in global harmonization efforts, particularly between the US and Japan, and optimizing global regulatory and clinical strategies.
