Dr. Kim is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon in Austin, TX. She completed her general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, including advanced fellowship training in aortic surgery and TAVR. She is Associate Professor of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Dell Medical School and works in the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. In addition to treating coronary artery disease, valvular disease, endocarditis, and arrhythmias, she specializes in advanced techniques for aortic valve repair/replacement, surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysm and aortic dissection, and transcatheter treatment of structural heart disease. She is active in The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and was elected a Director-at-Large in 2024.
