Dr. Philip B. Adamson is a heart failure Cardiologist whos research combines traditional clinical insights with cutting-edge technology to predict and prevent health crises with personalized implantable technologies He earned his MD from the University of Oklahoma along with an MSc in neurophysiology. He served on the faculty at Oklahoma with NIH funded research evaluating the complexities of cardiac autonomic mechanisms in risk for lethal ventricular arrhythmias post-myocardial infarction and ischemic cardiomyopathy. After leaving clinical practice, Dr. Adamson was the Chief Medical Officer at Abbott’s Heart Failure division and more recently joined CVRx, Inc as Chief Medical Officer. He focuses on autonomic modulation using implantable stimulation approaches aimed at alleviating heart failure symptoms and improving quality of life. He has authored over 150 manuscripts and book chapters.
