Dr. White graduated AOA from CWRU in 1978 and completed his training at Letterman Army Medical Center (LAMC) in 1983. In 1988, he joined the Ochsner Clinic. He is a Past President of SCAI and was honored as a Master Interventionalist (MSCAI) and received the Mason Sones national service award. Dr. White served as Editor-in-Chief of CCI for 10 years and is currently an Associate Editor for JACC Interventions. He has received Teacher of the Year awards at LAMC (1985) and at Ochsner (2000) and Mentor of the Year in 2007. In 2015, he was named as the Physician Executive Leader of the Year. In 2019, he was recognized as a Master of the College (MACC). in 2019 and was honored at VIVA 2019 with the ATLAS career award. Currently, Dr. White is Prof and Chair of Medicine and Cardiology, the Medical Director for the Ochsner Health Centers of Excellence System Service Lines.
