Dr. Aqtash earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan. He completed his internal medicine residency, including serving as Chief Resident, at Marshall University in West Virginia. He then pursued fellowship training in general cardiology at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Aqtash went on to complete advanced training in interventional cardiology and mechanical circulatory support at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He further refined his expertise with specialized structural heart training at The Heart Hospital Plano. He currently serves as the Director of Structural Heart Services Heart Place/North Texas. His clinical and research interests focus on transcatheter interventions for valvular heart disease, as well as physiology- and imaging-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
