R. David Anderson, MD is Professor of Medicine in Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, Director of Interventional Cardiology and the cardiac catheterization laboratory. He is also program director for the interventional cardiology fellowship. His research interests include coronary reactivity and stem cell therapy. They also include device developement having several patents. He has been involved in the design and performance of numerous studies of both pharmacologic and device treatments for cardiovascular diseases. He led the multidisciplinary program to use catheter-based therapy for aortic stenosis and has led the development of the structural heart program at the Univeristy of Florida.
