Dr. Amit Hooda is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. He serves as core faculty and Assistant Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. Dr. Hooda has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters, and has presented his work at national and international scientific meetings. He is actively involved in cardiovascular outcomes research, with a particular focus on high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions Dr. Hooda is an investigator on multiple clinical trials involving drug-eluting balloon (DEB) technologies and mechanical circulatory support devices. In recognition of his contributions to interventional cardiology, he was named a Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) 30 in Their 30s Award recipient.
