Dr. Brian D. McCauley is an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist at Reading Hospital. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Independent Duty Medical Technician‑Paramedic and began his clinical career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a cardiac cath technologist (RCIS). He earned degrees in Biochemistry/Public Health from Drexel University and graduated from Cooper Medical School. Dr. McCauley completed Internal Medicine residency at Brown University and Cardiology, Interventional, and Structural fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania. He has received multiple awards for teaching amd humanism. His clinical and academic interests include invasive hemodynamics, cardiogenic shock, critical care cardiology, complex PCI, and structural heart disease. He is the Director of the Cardiogenic Shock Team and a Assistant Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine.
