Dr. Giovanna Sarno is an Associate Professor in the Cardiology Department of Uppsala University, working as an interventional cardiologist at Uppsala University Hospital, Uppsala, Sweden since 2011. She completed her medical studies in Naples University “Federico II”, Italy and did her clinical training in interventional cardiology in Aalst Cardiovascular Center (Belgium). She has been engaged in cardiovascular research in Aalst Cardiovascular Center (2006-2008) and in Erasmus Thoraxcenter (Netherlands) in 2009. Her main research interests are coronary interventions, coronary physiology/imaging and aortic valve disease. She has been involved in several clinical research studies in this area in the settings of the Swedish Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty Registry (SCAAR).
