Stephen R. Ramee, MD, MS, FACC, MSCAI

Dr. Ramee has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Interventional Vascular Medicine. He has authored hundreds of manuscripts and scientific papers in the field of interventional cardiology. His major research interests have centered on research and development of interventional cardiology devices and techniques. He has participated in over 200 clinical trials and hundreds of live demonstration angioplasty courses.
He is a former Chair of the Benson Heart Valve Center, former Board of Trust Member for the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (SCAI) and Master of the SCAI (MSCAI). He is the past-Chair of the Interventional Council of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Ramee is currently the Medical Director of the LCMC Heart Valve Service in New Orleans and his goal is to develop a system-wide Heart Valve Center for patients in the Gulf South.
