Dr. Sameer Mehta is the Chairman of the Lumen Foundation and an Interventional and STEMI cardiologist. He is a former Chief of Interventional Cardiology at Cedars Medical Center, a former President of the American Heart Association in Florida, and the Chairman of Research at Miami Heart Institute. His research areas are Global STEMI development, Telemedicine, AI and Pollution Health. Dr. Mehta has created STEMI networks in more than 30 countries. He is the Course Director of Lumen Global and Founder of LATIN Telemedicine has created an umbrella of AMI protection for >100 million patients in South America, reduced mortality by >55%, and saved >$800 million. Dr. Mehta has recently devoted his research to developing an AI-guided, STEMI detection algorithm that can be incorporated into a wearable sensor device. Dr. Mehta is an author of 7 STEMI textbooks.
