Dr. Kaplan (Professor of Medicine as Dartmouth) is a practicing interventional cardiologist and a medical device entrepreneur. He Chairs The Dartmouth Device Symposia (3D) a 'Think Tank' Symposium which brings together thought leaders from the clinical, business, governmental/regulatory, financial and legal communities. Aaron is an active entrepreneur who has been on the founding team of LocalMed and Perclose (acquired by Abbott) and Tryton. His current entrepeneurial focus is Conformal Medical where he is a Founder, Director and Chief Medical Officer. Dr Kaplan has authored 60 U.S. Patents and was inducted into the National Academy of Inventors (Class of 2015). Dr. Kaplan received a B.S. in Engineering Sciences (Cum Laude) from Tufts University, M.D. from Wake Forest University, medical training at Northwestern University and cardiology training at Stanford University.
