Howard C. Herrmann, MD, is the John Bryfogle Professor Emeritus of Medicine of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and former Director of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization. He is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has authored more than 500 publications, with a primary research focus on valvular and structural heart disease. He serves on multiple editorial boards and is an Associate Editor of NEJM Clinician. In addition, he consults for several medical technology companies, including serving as Strategic Chief Medical Officer of Carvolinx, Inc. Dr. Herrmann is a past Governor of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and has received the Master designation of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
