Dr. Hiram Grando Bezerra is Chief Interventional Cardiologist @ Tampa General Hospital/USF.
He is Professor of Medicine at University of South Florida.
Dr Bezerra practiced in Cleveland (CWRU – UH) for more than one decade at various capacity including cath lab Director and during that time established the first OCT core laboratories in the world. He has more than 250 peer review papers and lead seminal trials for FDA approval of the technology (OCT) and various multicenter trials involving intravascular imaging (IVUS,OCT).
He moved to Tampa 5 years ago @Tampa General Hospital Dr Bezerra has his clinical activity split between structural heart, MCS and coronary interventions.
Recent highlights:
1-Pioneering concious sedation ICE guided LAAO.
2-Inicial USA experience with CAVI (TricValve).
3-Interventional leader for C-Shock program.
4-First in Human , HF-OCT .
