Ziad Ali is the Director of the DeMatteis Cardiovascular Institute at St Francis Heart Center. His clinical research interests focus on the use of imaging and physiology technologies such as photon-counter CTCA, optical coherence tomography, intravascular ultrasound and flow wire assessment to optimize coronary interventions. He also has a strong interest in the pathobiology and treatment of coronary calcium. Dr. Ali has pioneered a technique to perform interventions without contrast administration, protecting patients with advanced kidney disease from need for dialysis. He has served as leadership, including PI, for multiple global trials.
