Interventional/Structural Cardiologist and Director of Complex Coronary Intervention

Dr Yousif Ahmad is an Assistant Professor and the DIrector of Complex Coronary Intervention at UCSF. Prior to this he was the Director of the Complex and High-Risk PCI (CHIP) Program at Yale University. He has completed Advanced Fellowships in Structural Heart Disease at Cedars-Sinai and the CHIP Fellowship at Columbia University. He completed his General and Interventional Cardiology training at Imperial College London and holds a PhD in aortic and coronary physiolgy at Imperial College London. His thesis focused on the interaction between coronary hemdoynamics and aortic stenosis and his research saw him awarded the AHA Samuel A. Levine Young Clinical Investigator Award , EuroPCR Young Investigator Award and ACC Young Author Achievement Award. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed manuscripts in in journals including The Lancet, JAMA Internal Medicine, Circulation, European Heart Journal and JACC.
