Dr. Butala is the Medical Director of Structural Heart Disease and Intervention for the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System, an interventional cardiologist at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center and the University of Colorado Hospital, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Butala’s research focuses on use of rigorous statistical and deep learning methods in large real-world datasets and clinical trial datasets to generate novel clinical insights. Dr. Butala holds an AB magna cum laude in Economics with High Honors from Harvard College, an MD cum laude from Yale School of Medicine, and an MBA from Yale School of Management, and he completed his Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Structural Heart Disease training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.
