Rafael Beyar, MD, DSc, MPH

Professor Emeritus Rafi Beyar is currently the President of the Rambam Friends Organizations, a senior interventional cardilogist
and a Professor of Medicine and Engineering at the Technion. He received his MD from the Tel Aviv University, DSc from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Technion and MPH from the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. His research focus is stents, robotics and cardiovascular simulations. He served as Dean of Technion Faculty of Medicine. He served as Director of Rambam between 2006-2019. He is currently a founding general partner of the Alive Investment Fund and serves on the baords of several start up companies in the cardiovascular area.
