Dr. Daniel Schimmel is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University practicing interventional cardiology in the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. As an interventional cardiologist, he serves as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Fellowship Director for Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Schimmel's research and clinical interests include chronic total occlusion coronary intervention, mechanical circulatory support, and pulmonary vascular interventions for acute and chronic pulmonary thromboembolic disease.
