Dr. Barbara Lawson is an Associate Professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University Pauley Heart Center. She joined the academic practice in 2016 as an interventional and structural cardiologist and also has a part time appointment at the VA Medical Center. She has served as Associate Program Director for the Cardiolgy Fellowship since 2019 and as Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship since 2020. In 2024, she was named the Director of Complex Coronary Disease. She has published in the fields of aortic valve disease, radial artery catheterization, and NSTEMI. Her additional interests include critical care cardiology and medical education.
