Taiho Higaki is a pre-medical undergraduate student in the Life Sciences concentration at Soka University of America with interests in clinical research, the integration of AI into healthcare, and the inclusion of humanism and empathy into patient care. He wants to learn how clinical research and case studies directly link to patient care through attending this conference. Grounded in Soka principles and a commitment to dignity-centered care, he is especially interested in how medical education can better integrate ethics, narrative, and the social determinants of health alongside rigorous scientific training.
