Cardiology Fellow

Dr. Rashid Alhusain is a cardiology fellow at Mayo Clinic Florida and previously served as Chief Medical Resident at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University. He will be an incoming Interventional Cardiology Fellow at the Minneapolis Heart Institute. He has a strong background in global health, having completed the Global and Urban Health Equity Program at Wayne State University.
He is passionate about innovation, technology, and advancements in medical devices and has completed an innovation track offered by the Mayo Clinic Graduate Medical School. His clinical interests are in interventional cardiology, with a particular focus on valvular heart disease.
