Dr Hugh Calkins is the Catherine Ellen Poindexter Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins.
He has served as the Director of the arrhythmia service and EP lab for the past 33 years.
Dr Calkins has played a pioneering role in the development of catheter ablation.
He is also the founder and director of the Johns Hopkins ARVC Program.
Dr Calkins has published more than 800 manuscripts.
He is a past president of the Heart Rhythm Society
