Dr. Zoltan Turi is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program at Cooper University Hospital He was an inventor of coronary autoperfusion catheters and holds patents for a transseptal sheath and covered stent. He trained in peripheral and carotid interventions during a one year sabbatical in France. He has been involved with structural heart interventions for more than three decades, was the principal investigator for a series of randomized trials on which the guidelines for mitral stenosis treatment are based, and has performed structural heart interventions in developing countries throughout the world. He has been involved in TAVR and LAA occlusion since their inception. He has published extensively on evidence based approaches to vascular access and closure.
