Dr. Prashanth D. Thakker is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with a clinical and academic focus in interventional cardiology. His expertise lies in complex coronary interventions, with particular interest in intravascular imaging and coronary physiology. Dr. Thakker is passionate about integrating intracoronary imaging and physiologic assessment into clinical decision-making to optimize outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Thakker is deeply committed to medical education. He holds a Master’s degree in Education, which informs his innovative approach to curriculum development and learner engagement. He currently serves as the Program Director for the General Cardiology Fellowship and as Associate Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at WashU, where he plays a key role in shaping the next generation of cardiologists.
