Dr. Michael Landry is the Chief of Medicine at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System in New Orleans. He is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Section of General Internal Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine. He has worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs for the past 24 years and served as the Chief of Medicine for 13.5 years. He is Black Belt trained in system redesign. He was the lead Medicine physician during activation of the new VA hospital in New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina. He coordinates complex cardiac care with his Chief of Cardiology for much of the Southeast region through community and VA referrals. He serves on the National Specialty Care ICC as well as on the VISN 16 Specialty Care ICC
