Amar Krishnaswamy, MD, is Section Head of Invasive & Interventional Cardiology, Director of the Sones Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, and he holds the T.V. Connelly Family Chair in Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Krishnaswamy is from Buffalo, NY. He completed his undergraduate degree at Colgate University and his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine. He went on to Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also served as an Assistant Chief of Service upon completion of his training. He completed General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Cleveland Clinic after which he joined the staff. His clinical and research pursuits focus on structural heart disease interventions including TAVR, catheter-based mitral and tricuspid valve repair and replacement, PFO/ASD closure, left atrial appendage occlusion, paravalvular leak closure, etc).
