Dionne Ross, MSN, RN, NE-BC, serves as the Nursing Director for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at MedStar Washington Hospital Center's MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute. With over 25 years of nursing experience, including 21 years in leadership focused on cardiovascular services, she has also developed expertise in capacity management. Dionne has represented nurses on the hospital’s board of directors and remains committed to interdisciplinary engagement and collaboration. She played a key role in implementing the Short Stay TAVR (SSTAVR) initiative to reduce ICU length of stay. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, she led the Redeployment Center to assist in redeploying associates. A founding member of the Black Nurse Collaborative (BNC), Dionne is dedicated to transforming the nursing profession and community health. Additionally, she is the founder and CEO of Luminary Scrubs.
