Dr. M. Reza Movahed was trained at Yale University in 2000. He is a Clinical Prof. of Med. at the U of A, Tucson, and U of A, Phoenix. He was the Director of Cardiac Cath and Nuclear Card Labs at the UCI, and Director of CCU and Med Director of Card Transplant at the U o A He was the CareMore Regional Card Director. He is renowned for “The Movahed Coronary Bifurcation Classification” and known for his discovery of the flattening of the interventricular septum as a sign of right ventricular overload the “ Movahed’s sign.” He is also known for reverse “Movahed Maneuver” that can be used for stent deliverability in tortuous vein grafts. He has a patent for a contrast removal device and a device that can measure the cross-sectional lumen of a vessel. He has over 300 peer-reviewed publications, He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Advanced Heart failure/Transplant, Nuc Card, and Inter Cardiology.
