Dr. Foluso A. Fakorede, CEO of Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi, immigrated from Nigeria as a teenager. He trained at Rutgers, Weill Cornell, and Cooper University Hospital in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and endovascular intervention. Since 2015, he has led efforts in the Mississippi Delta to expand access to cardiovascular care and reduce preventable amputations. A national leader on Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), he was featured in the award-winning documentary Bloodlines, Mississippi, selected by the Nobel Prize Foundation. He co-authored the bipartisan ARC Act, inspiring the first PAD Caucus and state screening law. He serves on the Amputee Coalition Board, leads the ABC PAD Initiative, and has been honored with awards from the AHA, ABC, and STAT News.
